Obituary for Danette "Dani" R. Molitor

There will be no services for Danette “Dani” Molitor. After bravely and courageously battling cancer for 7 plus years, she passed away peacefully at her home of 35 years, surrounded by her family.

Danette was born on Oct. 13, 1959 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Minneapolis to Alan and Bernadine (Slama) Hemsworth. She graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1978. Later she married Mark Molitor, her high school sweetheart, on January 27, 1979 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Danette was currently employed at Gorecki Dining Center at the College of St. Benedict. She enjoyed the family garden but her love and passion was in her flower gardens. She loved spending time with her family, walking on trails, visiting state parks, garage sales, or simply watching birds by their feeders. Danette loved decorating up the house for all the holidays, especially Christmas. She foremost was a loving wife, mother and grandma who was honest, hardworking and always had time for a smile.

Danette will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Mark; her son, Brandon; her one pride and joy, her grandson Masen; her brother, Roger of Rice; her sisters, Patricia of Duluth and Loretta of El Paso, TX; many nieces and nephews and numerous numbers of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, Nicholas “Rafe” Nodo.
