Obituary for Kenith E. Westrum

A gathering of family and friends will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Kenith E. Westrum, age 97, who passed away Friday at his home.

Kenith Ellsworth Westrum was born October 26, 1920 in Charles City, IA to Edgar & Marie (Mickelson) Westrum. He served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Kenith married Caroline Weissmann on December 31, 1960 in New Ulm. Kenith owned a Yamaha and Vespa Dealership in St. Cloud for many years. He was also the corporate pilot for Vision-Ease Corporation. He was a devoted motorcyclist, loved classic cars, and taught flight lessons. Kenith was very witty and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline of Sauk Rapids; children, Steven (Vicki) Westrum of Bloomington, Vera Westrum-Ostrom (Mark Ostrom) of Minneapolis, Brian (Cathy) Westrum of Nashville, TN and Amy (Michael) Dehler of St. Cloud;eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Kenith was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edgar Westrum; sister, Veryl Curtis; and brother-in-law, Conroy Curtis.
