Obituary for Richard John Reignier

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Richard J. Reignier, age 85, of Sauk Rapids who passed away at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center on Thursday. Rev. Keith Wiese will officiate and burial will be in the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 10-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Richard J. Reignier was born September 22, 1931 to Benjamin and Eleanor (Johnson) in Green Bay, WI. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Patricia Voelker on June 26, 1954 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Green Bay, WI. He was an ordained minister serving Crane Lake, Paynesville, New London, and Bock until retiring from the ministry. Richard and Patricia moved to St. Cloud where the couple owned and operated the New Life Book Store. He loved to fish, hunt, play his harmonica, painting pictures and was a people person. Most of all he loved his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia of Sauk Rapids; sons, Russ of Monticello, Bruce (Gail) of Pendleton, SC., and Dan (Rita) of Buffalo, NY.; grandchildren, Aaron, Christa (Bryan) Sellers, Danny, Julie, John (Melissa); brother, Jim (Barb) of Green Bay, WI. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; and brother, Ronald.
