Obituary for Paul Daniel Schaefer

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis for Paul D. Schaefer, 79 of Sartell who died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel on Wednesday morning.

Paul Daniel Schaefer was born on February 13, 1938 in Eveleth to Paul R. and Mildred (Delich) Schaefer. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956 - 1960. Paul lived in the Sartell area since 1967. He owned and operated Schaefer Development Corporation for 35 years. Paul was a member of the Sartell American Legion Post #277, the St. Cloud VFW Post #428, the Civil Air Patrol and a former member of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, the Central Minnesota Home Builders Association and the General Contractors Association. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel Schaefer of Minneapolis and Mark (Kimberly) Schaefer of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Emma, Abby, Tyler and Berit. He was preceded in death by his parents.
