Obituary for Louana E. Fiebing

Louana Elaine (Oelschlager) Fiebing was called home to heaven by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, to be reunited with her many loved ones.

Louana was born to the late Otto and Della (Heitman) Oelschlager in Princeton Township on May 5, 1925. She was baptized on May 31, 1925, confirmed on April 10, 1938, and married Harold W. Fiebing on May 15, 1948, all at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Princeton. Louana was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church her entire life. She was the church organist for over 25 years, Sunday School teacher, choir member and director, member of the Mary Circle and was active in all church events. Louana started her working career in 1942 at the Princeton Co-op Grocery, then to the Princeton Co-op Feed Dept. in 1945 where she again met Harold. After raising her family she returned to work at Kapsner Drug in 1960 and then to the Princeton Public Schools as head cook from 1964 to 1979. She loved her family and enjoyed her music, crocheting, gardening, entertaining, and camping with family and the Rum River Ramblers for years. She began journaling early in life and in 2010, she wrote her story "My First Eighty-Five Years."

Louana is survived by her children: Charlene (William) Smothers of Marshalltown, IA, Linda (Chris Beck) Neske of Elk River, MN, Gloria (Thomas) Reddig of Richfield, MN; 9 grandchildren: Brenda (Kevin) Skogman, Christine (David) Quisley, Rebecca (Terry) Golden, Michelle (Ronald) Davidson, Stephanie (James) Collins, Bradley (Jennifer) Oliver, Scott (Stacey) Neske, Joshua (Jennifer) Reddig, Andrew (Gwen) Reddig; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother Harold (Kathy) Oelschlager, sister Margaret Oelschlager, sisters-in-law Elaine Oelschlager and Alice Fiebing; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

Louana is preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; daughter Barbara Oliver; sons-in-law Edwin Oliver and Roger Neske; brother Alfred Oelschlager; and numerous in-laws.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Princeton. Family and friends may call from 4-7 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton, MN on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton, MN.
