Lee was born on June 1, 1918 to August and Catherine (Adrian) Bischoff in Melrose. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. Lee enjoyed cooking and baking and she kept her recipes in her head. She loved playing cards with her family and watching and feeding the birds.
