Obituary for Joanne M. Dirschel

Dirschel, Joanne of Waite Park passed away unexpectedly too soon on April 2nd. Just seven days into her 69th year and heaven gained a colorful character. Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence (Jack) and Theresa Peerman. Survived by her beloved daughters, Amy LaBuda and Carrie (Rob) Luebesmier along with grandchildren Kevin (Teresa) LaBuda, Laura LaBuda, Jared LaBuda, Brandon Gapinski, Tyler Gapinski, brother John (Carol) Peerman, sister Dorine (Gerald) Behrendt, sister Marilyn (Ken) Koch, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Joanne was big-hearted and hard-working. For 35 years (1980-2015) Joanne worked as a paraprofessional for St. Cloud Area School District #742. For 25 years she looked forward to two weeks at The Great Minnesota Get Together where she worked at the State Fair's Haunted House. She took her role as the crazy aunt very seriously, appearing at numerous grad parties in full costume. She loved bingo, a good drink, and laughter. Most importantly, Joanne loved people exactly as they were just as the Lord asks to. A celebration of her life will be held April 12 from 4-8 PM with prayer service and sharing at 7 PM at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes 1900 Veterans Drive in St. Cloud. The stories will be plentiful. In lieu of flowers, memorials to family are preferred.
