Obituary for Harold E. Nelson

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for Harold Nelson who died Saturday at the Good Shepherd Home in Sauk Rapids. The Rev. Tim Baltes will officiate and burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Gilman. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Sartell.

Harold was born in Bogus Brook Township, MN to Egnar & Antonette (Pluimer) Nelson. He married Patricia Cielinski on April 21, 1958 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Gilman. Harold worked as a foreman, welder and ornamental iron worker for over 40 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, camping, spending time with his family and making trips to the casino.

Survivors include his wife Patricia of Sauk Rapids; children, Brian (Teri) Nelsonof Mora, Barbara (Todd) Johnson of Maple Grove, Larry (Shelly) Nelson of Becker, Duane (Chris) Nelson of Big Lake and Janet (Curt) Williamson of Colongne; 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Darlene Benson, Marion Johnson, Gladys Anderson; and great granddaughter, Gracie Borich.
