Betty Winter passed peacefully from this world on April 25. A cherished mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend, she will be missed by many. Betty brought sweetness, laughter and love to all who knew her. She loved nothing better than to be with friends and family, to tend to and enjoy the comfort of her home, to watch the flowers bloom, to lend a hand, and enjoy the simple joys of life.

Betty was born to the late George D. and Effie (Feakes) Gardner in Brainerd. She was a graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School, a dedicated homemaker and accomplished fashion consultant. On July 25, 1953 she married the love of her life, Earl F. Winter. Together, they made a life built on mutual respect, tenderness and shared responsibility and raised their children in a loving home.

Betty is survived by her grateful children and grandchildren: Laura (Tim) Bates of Minnetonka, Lucas and Jae; Douglas Winter of Sartell, Courtney and Steven; Linda (Duane) Monson of New York Mills; Amy (Jeff) Sanders of Monroe, NC, Ezekiel and Jacob; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Earl and her siblings: Duane Gardner, Maxine Koch, Dale Gardner, Lydia Brinkman.

Memorials are preferred.
