Leo Ross started the Sauk Rapids Funeral Home in the 1930’s. From 1953-1974 Larry Veeser was the funeral director and owner. Douglas E. Dingmann purchased the Sauk Rapids Funeral Home from Larry Veeser in 1974. It has been in the Dingmann family since that time. In the fall of 2008 the Williams and Dingmann families partnered to form Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes. In January of 2014 the Dingmann family became sole owners of Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes.

Williams Funeral Home, which began as the Tschumperlin Funeral Home, has been serving Central Minnesota since 1873. Bernard E. "Barney" Williams purchased the funeral home in 1948 from Al J. Tschumperlin. In 1967 Thomas J. Williams joined his father in the business. In the fall of 2008 the Williams and Dingmann families partnered to form Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Homes. The Dingmann family purchased the Klein Bank building in 2017 and completely remodeled the building to transfer it into a full service funeral home and cremation provider. The Dingmann family has been serving the Sherburne county families since 1907.

In 2004 the Dingmann Family purchased the Stephan-Stein Funeral Home in Long Prairie from Robert & Mary Stein. The Steins had operated the funeral home in Long Prairie for 35 years with the assistance of their predecessor Myron Stephan. The funeral home was renamed the Stein-Dingmann Funeral Home. The Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home was formed through a merging of funeral homes in Princeton. The Williams family first purchased the Hanson Funeral Home in 1987 and then the Kaun Funeral Home in 1994. The present funeral home building was purchased and renovated in 1999.
