Some of my life's fondest memories are with the Trushenski family with Renee and Herb at the helm. Though sadness at her passing is present, the joy of knowing that one of the finest ladies who one could hope to have spent time with is at peace and in the place she spent her life to reach will endure. We will miss you Renee.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Renee's passing. Both she and Herb were very dear to our family. We spent many happy days and nights with them at Lake Brophy when our daughters were young. The Trushenski's were as much like family to us as anyone we knew. We laughed a lot with them!

Renee' was a shining example of Christian charity. She was a fine woman who gave tirelessly of her time and her considerable talents for her church and other good causes.

Our love and sympathy goes out to Renee's family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marc and Margaret Fiechtner, Jane and Anne.

How excited the Lord must be to have such an artist and dear friend who shared all her talents with her entire family in the community and church....the times spent in joy and celebration with Herb and Renee was one of wonder. I live in the house that they built in Jamestown and have dearly loved being here...she left a painting and so I always said I paid $22,500.00 for that painting!!! And I remember a time the 'gang' was at Max's bar and Herb presented Renee with this beautiful ring for their anniversary. We were all in awe!!! So, my sincerest sympathy to the Trushenski family. In faith and sympathy, Luann Kiefel

Dear Family,I send you my sincerest sympathy... I must say that Renee was one who shared the talents the Lord gave to her with all of her community and church, she was giving and kind and always ready for an artist's challenge. I fondly remember Herb and Renee at parties in their home and how they complimented each other. They were truly a blessing to all. Sending you my sympathy and the Love of the Lord,Judy Buegel

I have fond memories of Renee. She was a very talented, generous, faithfilled LADY. She did volunteer sewing for our Sisters. I would take it to her apartment and pick it up again each time staying for at least 30 minutes. We would have tea and cookies. She would show me her latest projects and tell me about her family.
God bless and reward, Renee.

Renee and Herb were the first people we met, being transferred to Jamestown, after one year of marriage. We have never forgotten what they did in making us welcome, as the new "kids", in town. We named our first daughter after Renee so have had a lasting memory of her. She was never without a smile or a positive attitude and willing to lend a hand wherever needed. A very Special Lady indeed.

Our condolences to all of Renee's family. We enjoyed the beautiful video tribute!
I'll always remember the energy and excitement Renee created each time we saw her. She was such a creative lady and interested in everyone and everything around her.
Nikki always told us about the annual Trushenski family reunions and all the fun everyone had.

Renee lived in the apartment complex I live in before she moved to Sauk Rapids. I only knew her for the two plus years that I have been here, but Renee was someone who was so enjoyable to be around and was such an interesting person. My husband and I go to the shows at the Paramount, and I loved talking to her about the costumes she made - she was such a wonderful seamstress. I was amazed at her abilities. To Renee's children, grandchildren and all other relatives and friends, you had a very unique and wonderful person in your life. I know she will be missed by all of you. God's love and Peace to you.

Renee sometimes introduced me as her adopted son, and she truly was like a mother to me. I spent as much time at the Trushenski home as my own, and when my parents passed unexpectedly when I was 17, Renee and Herb treated me like a son. To my wife Kathleen, Renee and Herb were the mother and father in-law she never had, always welcoming us for visits and making us truly feel like part of the family. Renee, I am so saddened by your passing I cannot find the words to express my sorrow. I wish I had known earlier and could have been there for you.

Our condolences go out to all of you. We have so many fond memories of Rene and Herb and the many, many, good times we had at the house on the river. I know mom could write a book about the times her and dad spent with Rene and Herb. I was also fortunate enough to visit them and fish on the potoon at the Minnesota home. So many memories of such a wonderful person.

As a teenager I remember the first time I saw the Trushenski family in Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown. Renee had made the children matching red and green plaid outfits. We both sang alto in choir and I remember what fun we had practicing. The last time I saw Renee was when we sang the Sevenfold Amen together at Concordia's 50th celebration. What a special loving friend she was. She will always remain in my memory.
