Beatrice “Beady” Bell Olson was born on September 11, 1921 in Greenbush Township, MN, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Shirkey) Stay.
Beady grew up in Greenbush Township and attended Princeton schools. Beady was united in marriage to Vernon Olson on June 20, 1942, in Reno, Nevada. The couple made their home in California for 13 years. They moved to the farm in Greenbush Township in 1953. She worked as a clerk for Ben Franklin for many years and was also a homemaker. Beady enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing, and traveling with Vernon and her dear best friend Alvina Wilcek. She also loved birds, watching and feeding them.
Beady passed away at the Princeton Elim Home on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the age of 92.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Richard (Mary) Olson of Royalton, James (Anita) Olson of Fertile and Barbara (Norman) Johnson of Foley; 5 grandchildren, Keith, Kevin, Patrick, Stephen and Veronica; 4 great-grandchildren, Megan, Erin, Krysten and Allyrian; siblings, Mildred Talberg and Fernie Erickson both of Princeton; dear friend and Earth Angel, Carol Carling; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and their families.
