A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church for Harriet M. Czech, 74 year old resident of Long Prairie who passed away on Friday, Feb.3rd at CentraCare Healthsystem in Long Prairie. Father Mark Willenbring will officiate and burial will be at Moses Dane Cemetery in Burtrum. Friends and relatives may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel in Long Prairie.
Harriet Mavis Clark was born on March 30, 1937 in Burtrum, MN to the late Harry and Dorace (Robideaux) Clark. She was united in marriage to Dennis John Czech, Sr. on May 10, 1958. Harriet was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was the definition of “Sports Mom,” rarely missing an event or practice. Her family was her life, and reaped the benefit of her selfless acts. Harriet was also a great friend, and surrogate mother to many. She was an awesome cook and fed all visitors. Harriet was a woman of deep faith and devotion, who knew her Bible and lived its tenets. She was at home in any house of God, regularly attending St. Peter Lutheran Church while living in St. Paul, as well as attending catholic church services with her husband.
Harriet will be dearly missed by her beloved husband, Dennis, Sr.; loving children, Pamela Jean (Paul) Wheaton of Longmont, CO, Dennis John (Sheila) Czech, Jr. of St. Paul, MN, Christopher Allen (Melissa) Czech of Kewaunee, WI, and Jerrold Anthony (Kathy) Czech of St. Paul, MN; siblings, Grace Sigford of Ogilvie, MN, Gwen (Myron) Carlson of Bovey, MN, Patty (Ed) Jackson of Spring City, TN, Herb (Kay) Clark of Big Fork, MN, Bud Clark of Roy, UT, Butch (Marlene) Clark of Long Prairie, MN, Carol Wadell (Stan Williams) of Hiawatha, IA, Candy (John) Driggers of Bovey, MN, and Peggy Clark of Moundsview, MN; sister-in-law, JoAnn (Ray) deReyna of Queechee, VT; brother-in-law, Donnie Czech of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Marjorie (Dave) Schmidtline, Alexander (Stephanie) Wheaton, Louis, Anna, Maureen, Monica, and Anthony Czech, Jacob, Gabriella, and Michaela Czech, Tommy, and Joey Czech; great grandchildren, Uriah Schmidtline, James and Nicolai Wheaton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; her very best lifelong friend, Aggie Hickman; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Kottschade.
