Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel, Sauk Rapids for Mildred T. “Millie” Skudlarek, age 97, who died Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. Rev. Ronald Weyrens will officiate and burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Sauk Rapids. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Chapel. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Millie was born Oct. 12, 1912 in St. Wendel Township (Stearns County) to Carl & Susie (Schiebel) Kowitz. She married Albert Skudlarek on Oct. 23, 1934 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, St. Stephen. Millie was a homemaker and lived in the Sauk Rapids area since 1980. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids. Millie enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, quilting, visiting others, and car rides with her husband. She was a wonderful cook, and also enjoyed lemon pie, bingo, attending church, and the rosary at Good Shepherd.

Survivors include her daughters and son, Eileen Rees of Minneapolis, Eugene (Bonnie) Skudlarek of St. Cloud, and Bernice (Dale) Vanderwerf of St. Cloud; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert on March 27, 1999; daughter, Angeline Ligeros; granddaughter, Tammy; sister, Evelyn Jesok; and brother, Edwin Kowitz.
