Clifford “Punch” Louis Wiedewitsch, Princeton, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 74 years and 8 months.
Clifford was born July 10, 1935 in Princeton, MN to Louis and Loretta (Walker) Wiedewitsch. He married Yvonne Jansen on August 27, 1955. The couple raised four children while living in Princeton. Clifford served in the Army National Guard and ran the family butcher shop. Clifford was a mechanic for Odegard’s Bus Company for over 40 years.
Clifford enjoyed spending time with his large family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening and driving around Princeton.
Clifford is survived by his children: Lynn (Dave) Grommesch of Eden Prairie, MN, Loree (Delm) Cross, LaVonne (Roger) Sueverkruepp, and Larry (Jocelyn) Wiedewitsch, all of Princeton; six grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren; siblings: Della Bohm of Princeton, Roger Huntley of Zimmerman, Karen Tomlinson of Ham Lake; special friend: Dorothy Huntley; and many more family members and friends.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; step-father: James Huntley; nine siblings; and his wife: Yvonne.
Visitation: 4 to 7 PM, Sunday, March 7th at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton and for one hour before services at the church.
Prayer Service: 7 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.
Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, March 8th at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Princeton, MN.
Burial: St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery, Princeton, MN.
